Been wanting a Bluetooth speaker for a while. I do a fair amount of camping and hiking in remote areas and it’s nice to have a little music every now and again. I’d previously bought a Bluetooth speaker from REI for this purpose but decided I couldn’t justify the $80 price tag, although it was a really nice speaker. The price of this one fit the bill nicely.I wasn’t looking for anything fancy when I settled on this speaker - just something with decent sound that wouldn’t break the bank. The sound quality is quite impressive for how small and portable it is. It really does sound nice and has a little bass as well. For the price this thing has great value and would make a good gift for someone looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker.There is a decent weight to it and the included suction cup is a nice bonus as I frequently listen to music in the bathroom when I’m getting ready. My countertop in the bathroom is quite small so I plan to suction this to the mirror. The suction cup is good (photo included of it being using on my sliding glass door) and I’ve no doubt it’ll stay put.The volume goes up to level “16” which is random but plenty loud for my purposes. If you’re looking for a Bluetooth speaker to use for a raging party though, this is probably not the one.I’ve used it for accepting and declining phone calls as well and it also works fine for that purpose - also a nice bonus if you’re interested in using a speaker in that way.This wireless Bluetooth speaker can also be illuminated with many different color options (rainbow only when it’s in pairing mode) so that is also fun if you’re into that. I prefer the setting where the colored light is off, personally.The waterproofing on this thing is also impressive. The USB-C charging port has a chunky piece of snug-fitting silicone over it and I’m certain it will easily keep water out - much better protection than some other “waterproof” products I’ve bought over the years.The speaker also has an LED display for the time - it syncs the time with your phone or whatever device it’s connected to. This is my one small gripe - there is no way to turn the time display off AND there is no way to change the time setting - it only uses a 24-hour clock (military time). Not everyone uses military time or knows how to read it. So for some this feature might be useless, or worse, downright annoying. Personally, im just going to stick a piece of blue masking tape over it and call it good. Still, this portable Bluetooth speaker is a great price for the sound quality and I am very happy with this purchase overall.
